I just don't understand

WHY is this stuff so hard?! G has a flat tire last night, puts some air in it, decides that the tread indicator says that they don't have much tread and he needs new tires. Sure, why not?! We just spent $500+ on new tires for me, why not spend $600+ on new tires for him? Money grows on trees, right? So this morning his tire is flat again. Kids and I drive him to work and the plan is to change out the tire, put the donut on and take it to the tire place later this morning. Drop D off at school, go get G at the station, come home. He can't get the lug nuts to loosen. He's lifting the car while trying, but they're not budging. SO, we call up USAA roadside assistance, tell them we need a flat changed. Wait the 30min, tech shows up in some sort of Nerd Herd vehicle (a Versa, Aveo, some tiny car) and he tries to take the lug nuts off. He very nearly gives himself a hernia, works up a sweat in about two seconds, but manages to get two off. He tries for the third, it won't move, says he doesn't want to proceed cause he's afraid he'll break the stud. Asks who put these tires on. Why of course it's the same tire place that we're trying to go! Back when G had his oil changed, tires rotated and air filter changed that nearly cost us a small fortune (thank the lucky stars for warranties) and two days in the shop to fix (did I tell that story?). G calls the tire place (I'll be nice and not mention it by name) and asks what he should do. They ask if we can have it towed. *sigh* Thank goodness we pay for the towing and labor package on our car insurance, eh? So now we wait for the tow truck to come in an hour. And in case you're wondering why we're taking it to this same tire place it's cause they're 1.3miles down the road and the only place nearby that has his size tires for a small fortune. I'll update if it turns into more of a debacle. :)
