Last Friday while M was napping the repair men were nailing shims into the doorway to make it flush. I was looking up rentals on the computer. D came running over and whispered, "I have good news and bad news. The bad news is they're making lots of noise and are going to wake Morgan up. The good news is, they're fixing the door!" Kid had a point.
Today D asked what it meant to imagine (where DO they get these questions?!). I told him it meant to think about something with your brain (I didn't have a good answer ready). He says, "Well, where does the white thing come from?" "What white thing?" I asked. He says, "The white cloud that goes above your head with the dots going up to it." I had to explain that thought bubbles only happen in cartoons. :)
His sister on the other hand, just likes to make her wants known and known NOW. Yesterday when we got back from the playground I took off her coat and sneakers. She got mad, held up her feet and said, "sock, sock". I asked if she wanted me to take her socks off. She said yes. Put her down to nap. She wakes up a couple hours later and the first thing she does when I go in to get her is get upset and yell, "sock, sock" I ask if she wants her socks back on and she says, "Yeah!" At least she knows what she wants.
