My little fairy has the croup

Is it croup or the croup? Just saying croup sounds silly. We say A cold, THE flu, THE chicken pox, right? I'm gonna say THE croup. It's a dumb word anyway. I think she'll be fine in a few days, but I'm taking her to the dr in the morning just to have them check her out. The labored breathing is kinda disconcerting. (sp?)
