So about the alarm company...yesterday shortly after ordering our food at dinner, my cell phone rings, it's the alarm company saying my garage door alarm is going off and the police have been dispatched, he'll call back when he knows more. Great. I know I hadn't locked the garage door (one into the house) cause I had gone out there, but I know it was closed since it's spring loaded and it had slammed behind me. Our food comes, we eat quickly, head home (about 20min) and I decide to call the 800# back since no one had called me. The woman answers, asks if I'm at the XYZ address, uh, no we moved from there a month ago, you reinstalled our system three weeks ago. So long story short, our alarm company hadn't informed the monitoring company of our new address so they'd sent the cops to our old house in Cape Coral! Nice to know. We get home, garage door is closed, no apparent reason for it going off. I call alarm company, ask them WTH is going on. Tell them I want another new contact (had issues with front door one) so I don't have to worry about it. So now we're probably going to get a false alarm bill from CCPD. Which G says we should send to the alarm company. Apparently it was a new girl who transferred our service and she didn't know she was supposed to call to change it with the monitoring company. *rolleyes*
