We just got done signing D up for pre-KINDERGARTEN! Florida has a program called VPK (voluntary pre-kindergarten) where any child over 4 is eligible for free schooling to prepare them for Kindergarten. One of my friends has a four-year old son and we put them in the same place, they have two classes so we're trying to decide if we want them in the same one or not. (on one hand it might make the transistion easier since neither have been to daycare, but we don't want them to only play with each other and they get on each others nerves easily. LoL) We went to the facility today and the boys (and M!) had a lot of fun checking stuff out. D wasn't too sure about it, he doesn't understand he won't actually go for six months, but when we left he decided it was okay cause he liked the playground. :) So starting in August he'll be going to pre-k every day from 9a-12p. It ends in early June so he'll have a couple months off before starting Kindergarten, which is full day! Some schools are 8-2:15 and others are 9:15-3:30 I think so it's not *too* bad. Hopefully by then he'll be eager to go. I've got one picked out, but I guess it's highly sought after so we're looking into other choices.
We may have found a place to live, I want to check out one other place that's a bit out of our price range, but lots closer to G's work. The school is in Ft Myers, pretty centrally located so it wouldn't be far from wherever we end up. So yay! And boo-hoo!
